I was there to see 3 decidedly different women’s bible study teachers first come together. Different generations. Different teaching styles. Different audiences. Different in many ways.

I saw their love for God collide, one with another. It was like a one-two-three punch from the heavens, given through the teaching of the Word of God.

I watched as their great admiration for one another turned into flat-out love, a sisterhood of sorts. None of them were ever concerned about themselves as they drew together to serve. Each of them only wanted to fan the flame in the other. They came together and became obsessed with asking God to bring as much glory to Himself at this gathering as He would be willing to bring. Relentless was their support of each other in prayer and encouragement.

I saw that there was no concern of whether or not they were entertaining enough, whether or not the right buttons were being pushed, whether or not they had enough in attendance. Truly their only concern was to see the King of the World receive glory, and to see women so engaged with the Word of God that they could not help but be changed forever.

I saw thousands of women’s lives being changed. Not because of the charisma of a leader or the polished production of an event. Rather, because thousands of people locked arms and walked through the door of SURRENDER together. I saw people beginning to play out the destiny of their lives the way God intended, all because they went deeper. Deeper in the Word of God. Deeper into the presence of God.

I saw it happen. And it makes my heart leap to witness firsthand ministry carried out with integrity, humility, servanthood and passion.

It’s been a great honor to be a part of Deeper Still for its 5 years of ministry. I have been blessed to have seen the gospel in action in the lives and service of Kay Arthur, Beth Moore and Priscilla Shirer. Many times  my team and I felt like the luckiest flies on the wall to be able to have a front row seat at this chickfest. So undeserving, but grateful to be able to witness God move like He did at each of these events. San Francisco, Atlanta, Nashville, Las Vegas, Orlando, Greensboro, Oklahoma City, Denver, Birmingham.  I’m sad to see this event come to an end. But I’m thankful that the Lord accomplished everything He set out to accomplish. The kingdom of God is moving and advancing. One person going deeper still at a time.

So, Deeper Still: The Event will be no more. But I’m pumped for our final round, this weekend at Deeper Still: Louisville (June 10-11). Are you coming?

In 5 years, we have had the joy of 10 events, 10 cities, 110,000 people. Thank You Lord, for calling us deeper. Still.
