Deeper Still

Deeper Still

I was there to see 3 decidedly different women’s bible study teachers first come together. Different generations. Different teaching styles. Different audiences. Different in many ways.

I saw their love for God collide, one with another. It was like a one-two-three punch from the heavens, given through the teaching of the Word of God.

I watched as their great admiration for one another turned into flat-out love, a sisterhood of sorts. None of them were ever concerned about themselves as they drew together to serve. Each of them only wanted to fan the flame in the other. They came together and became obsessed with asking God to bring as much glory to Himself at this gathering as He would be willing to bring. Relentless was their support of each other in prayer and encouragement.

I saw that there was no concern of whether or not they were entertaining enough, whether or not the right buttons were being pushed, whether or not they had enough in attendance. Truly their only concern was to see the King of the World receive glory, and to see women so engaged with the Word of God that they could not help but be changed forever.

I saw thousands of women’s lives being changed. Not because of the charisma of a leader or the polished production of an event. Rather, because thousands of people locked arms and walked through the door of SURRENDER together. I saw people beginning to play out the destiny of their lives the way God intended, all because they went deeper. Deeper in the Word of God. Deeper into the presence of God.

I saw it happen. And it makes my heart leap to witness firsthand ministry carried out with integrity, humility, servanthood and passion.

It’s been a great honor to be a part of Deeper Still for its 5 years of ministry. I have been blessed to have seen the gospel in action in the lives and service of Kay Arthur, Beth Moore and Priscilla Shirer. Many times  my team and I felt like the luckiest flies on the wall to be able to have a front row seat at this chickfest. So undeserving, but grateful to be able to witness God move like He did at each of these events. San Francisco, Atlanta, Nashville, Las Vegas, Orlando, Greensboro, Oklahoma City, Denver, Birmingham.  I’m sad to see this event come to an end. But I’m thankful that the Lord accomplished everything He set out to accomplish. The kingdom of God is moving and advancing. One person going deeper still at a time.

So, Deeper Still: The Event will be no more. But I’m pumped for our final round, this weekend at Deeper Still: Louisville (June 10-11). Are you coming?

In 5 years, we have had the joy of 10 events, 10 cities, 110,000 people. Thank You Lord, for calling us deeper. Still.

So sad to see it end. It was a HUGE blessing both times I attended–in Greensboro and in Birmingham. Thanks to Kay, Beth, Pricilla, and you Travis for bringing this to us. But most thanks to God for the awesome work HE had done!

This time last year Deeper Still was in Denver…it was my first (and last). I had some wonderful ladies stay with me that weekend and every one of our lives were deeply impacted. It was by far one of the greatest weekends of my life. Thanks for all you (collectively) have done to pour into my life. I wish I could be there this weekend.

Oh Travis – I LOVE Deeper Still! The Nashville Sept 2007 event was truly a turning point for me. God used Beth’s message about David in a deeply personal way in my life. I had been praying and praying for my son and his wife who were desperately crying out for a baby. It’s so painful when your children hurt, no matter their ages. After a failed adoption and much heartache, we were blessed with a grandboy born in August of 2008 to my daughter-in-law – who was told she would not have children. And now that little almost 3 year old has a 1 year old sister! The story is so amazing, but for me the journey began at Deeper Still. Gran Jan is my name, spoiling is my game!

Now this weekend I will be staying at the house as my music man and I are celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary on June 11th! But part of me will be there will you all – and I will pray. I was blessed to attend Nashville, Atlanta, Orlando, and Birmingham. One every year until now…

    Love much, G.J.

    Love love love the pictures!

I LOVE the pictures!! I am so thankful to be able to come this weekend! Both DS I have attended, (Nashville and Greenesboro) have been amazing, and God used them to equip me for the road ahead. I am praying to be open to what ever He says this weekend.

Travis I loved your write up and pictures. Y’all look like you’re having a blast loving the Lord, each other and those you are serving.

I was blessed to attend Deeper Still SF, CA my first and only DS event. The teaching on David from the various life stages perspective was priceless. I went with a group of gals in leadership from So California and we had a blast. The platform teaching is outstanding, the worship experience like none other simply phenominal but the real beauty of these events is that much ministry takes place out side of the platform teaching. It’s like a slumber party in the Lord with much laughter, staying up too late, meeting new friends and tons of talking. A chickfest retreat of sorts.

I LOVED seeing the unity in the Body and the richness of teaching from 3 distinctly different women of God. Praying for a double portion annointing on the team and gynourmous outpouring of the Holy Spirit for all who attend. Endings are sad but excited to see what God does next.

    Soli Deo Gloria

Already have been wondering what we will sing…what Word we will hear…to go deeper still.

I went to Deeper Still a couple of years ago in Atlanta. I know you will miss seeing the Lord move through this conduit of ministry. I look forward to seeing what HE has up his sleeve to reveal next. Thank you for your commitment to worship to the Lord. Thank you for your innercourt ministry to the Lord and taking us into His near presence through Worship. ~Blessings, Di

I attended DS in Nashville and Birmingham, and so wish I could be there for this last one! Praying for a might outpouring of His Spirit on this event.

Praying for Him to bless this event with His presence, love, comfort, guidance and saving grace. I attended OKC in Dec. 2009. Would love to be there now, but headed to Joplin to assist with tornado recovery.

Did I understand correctly that this is the LAST Deeper Still?????? Ouch.

    Love to all,

    Paige Szajnuk

I was there! I experienced the presence of the Lord, and was moved deeper still at the wisdom from those 3 precious women! The Lord used each of them to speak to me. Truely enjoyed the worship through the leadership of the praise and worship team as well.
