When The Stars Burn Down

When The Stars Burn Down

The new CD releases in a week. FINALLY. Making When The Stars Burn Down has been a year-long process. Maybe I should say a long year process. Haha. Either way, it has been one of the most fun creative processes I have ever had in making a CD. For a hundred reasons, this project is special to me. Not the least of which is the fact that this past year has been so fulfilling ministry-wise. Both on the road and at my home church, Englewood. God has been gracious.

There were moments this past year when the pressures of finishing this project, combined with the taxing schedule of my work at church and on the road, made me think I was going to crack. Or crack somebody. But the Lord carried us through. And all in all, the landscape of this year has been pretty great.

I’m so happy to invite you to join us for this event:

The music ministry at Englewood, along with some of my road team, will be doing a release concert, September 17-18 at 6:30. But we’re not interested in “debuting” songs. We are ready to go in. In to deeper places with God in our worship. Corporately. Individually. We’re going to have some powerful testimony. Some reading. Some prayer. Lots of thanksgiving. Lots of confessing who God is. And who we are because of who God is.

It’s going to be a great night. Come join us

I absolutely LOVE this new project! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to it since Tuesday and how much it has blessed me! I’m still looking forward to getting the actual CD, though. . . I’m one of those people who actually reads all the little details inside the CD cover, so I’m looking forward to that 🙂 Also looking forward to worshipping with you via simulcast this coming weekend. God bless!

I am soo excited for you. May the Lord grant you the deeper places you desire in worship. If you are ever in E.Tn. I so want to invite you and your family to worship with us at our church. God is taking us on an incredible journey of worship. Not that you need any pointers, I just think you’d enjoy the worship! Bless you as you lead others straight to the throne room.

I was BLOWN AWAY last weekend to hear the new arrangement of “Just As I Am”! We were watching the live simulcast from Knoxville, Tennessee, and we KNEW God was up to something amazing when the signal came off and on AT LEAST 30 times throughout the day. Satan is even in the internet connection sometimes, I suppose. But PRAISE THE LORD—The Lord’s message through Beth and His worship through you and your amazing worship team was incredible! My friends have laughed at me for months because when you came to Knoxville in May to play at Sevier Heighs Baptist Church, I wanted to come SO BADLY…but my son’s “stinkin’ bad concert” (from hence it shall be known as the “stinkin’ band concert that made me miss Travis Cottrell”) was that same night. I SERIOUSLY CONSIDERED blowing off the band concert and coming to hear you play anyway, but I really would have been in trouble with my boy. So Saturday morning when that signal was cutting in and out during worship, I was saying, “NOOOOOOO! I can’t miss Travis again!” My girlfriends had a HUGE laugh at my expense. In the end, I was so thankful to have had the opportunity to worship with you. I must tell you that the song that spoke most clearly to my heart was the new arrangement of “Just As I Am.” I am loving new versions of the old stuff lately, and this one is BY FAR my fave. The melody is one that I can’t get out of my head, and the lyric is just ANOINTED, my brother! I am so thankful that you shared it with us last weekend. I have already told my worship leader about it, and he has promised me that he will listen to it. I already prepared him for loving it! THANK YOU AGAIN, TRAVIS, for your willingness to serve the Lord and share the gifts He’s given you with all of us! And I can’t wait ’til the next time I get to be led in worship by you! Until then, grace and peace and loads of blessings,

We went drove from Murfreesboro last night to Englewood and were SO blessed by the worship. I have to agree. All the songs on the CD are great, but the one that touched my heart and I, like Stephanie, can’t get out of my head is “Just As I Am”. “I come broken to be mended. I come wounded to be healed. I come desperate to be rescued. I come empty to be filled. I come guilty to be pardoned by the blood of Christ the Lamb. And I’m welcomed with open arms praise God, just as I am.” HALLELUJAH!!!!

“Do it Lord” – is one of my many favorites! I just love how God uses his music to speak into my heart. Thank you for your offering!!

I bought the CD at the Beth Moore simulcast. This CD is already blessing my socks off. I am encouraging my music minister to listen to it. Are there a songbook an accompaniment tracks yet?

Awesome new album Travis! I can’t describe it well enough, so I hope that a short message can somehow describe how impressed I am with your new songs. Praise God!
